Although I couldn’t paint for a few days, I was productive and added a layer of plywood to the base to firm it up. The painting is now complete and I’m reassembling the shell. I’ll have pics in a few days.

On another note, my MIP measurements are right on, so It should fit nicely in the shell with little modification. The glare-shield needs a little work (the part that overhangs on the top ) , but I expected that, since I didn’t have any good dimensions at the time I built it.

You should be seeing some good progress from me in the next few weeks. I’ll be attaching the lateral strips, covering the inside of the shell with aluminum flashing and filling the voids on the outside of the shell with spray foam. Then it’s on to the final shaping and sanding. I haven’t figured out what I’ll be using to cover the outside of the shell.
